The Stitch
This is a stitch loosely based on a vintage edging pattern. I had been looking for a stitch that would produce a fabric with a lot of drape and flexibility to it. Having not found anything particularly interesting in modern stitches, I started looking at vintage stitch patterns. I found a great page of instructions at http://www.crochettreasures.com/vintagestitches.htm. The page contains replicas of pre-1930's crochet stitches. Many of them are a little difficult to understand because the terminology used was different from what we use today. There also seem to be some things that are taken for granted that the reader would already know how to do that are not clear to a modern crocheter.
